Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement

Jurnal Keguruan UNISA Kuningan is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement is based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices and serves as a guideline for authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher involved in the publication process.

Duties of Authors

Authors are expected to:

• Submit original manuscripts that have not been published or are not under consideration elsewhere.

• Ensure that all data presented in the manuscript are accurate, authentic, and obtained ethically.

• Properly acknowledge the work and ideas of others through appropriate citations.

• Avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, and other forms of research misconduct.

• List as authors only those individuals who have made significant scholarly contributions to the work.

• Disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest that may influence the research or its interpretation.

• Promptly notify the Editor if a significant error is discovered after publication and cooperate in correcting or retracting the article when necessary.

Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for:

• Evaluating manuscripts solely on the basis of their academic merit, originality, scientific quality, and relevance to the journal's scope.

• Making editorial decisions fairly and without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, political belief, or institutional affiliation.

• Maintaining the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and the identities of reviewers.

• Managing conflicts of interest appropriately.

• Taking reasonable steps to identify and prevent the publication of manuscripts involving plagiarism or unethical research practices.

• Issuing corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern when necessary.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

• Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations.

• Maintain the confidentiality of all manuscripts received for review.

• Inform the editor of any similarities between the manuscript under review and other published works of which they are aware.

• Decline to review manuscripts in cases of conflicts of interest.

• Base their recommendations solely on scholarly merit and provide clear supporting comments.

Duties of the Publisher

The publisher, Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), Universitas Islam Al-Ihya Kuningan, is committed to:

• Supporting editorial independence.

• Ensuring that editorial decisions are free from commercial or institutional influence.

• Promoting integrity, transparency, and ethical publishing practices.

• Assisting editors in addressing allegations of research misconduct and publication malpractice.

• Preserving the scholarly record through appropriate corrections, retractions, or updates when required.

Plagiarism Policy

All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software before entering the peer-review process. Manuscripts containing evidence of plagiarism, duplicate publication, or excessive similarity may be rejected immediately or returned to the authors for clarification or revision.

Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the objectivity of the publication process. Any identified conflicts of interest will be managed according to the journal's editorial policies.

Research Integrity

Research involving human participants or animals must comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional regulations. Authors are responsible for obtaining ethical approval and informed consent where required and must provide relevant information upon request.

Corrections and Retractions

The journal is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. When significant errors, ethical violations, or research misconduct are identified, the journal will publish corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern as appropriate and in accordance with internationally accepted publishing standards.

Ethical Oversight

Any allegation of publication misconduct, including plagiarism, authorship disputes, duplicate publication, fabricated data, citation manipulation, or undisclosed conflicts of interest, will be investigated by the editorial team. Appropriate actions will be taken following the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Publication Decisions

The Editor-in-Chief has full responsibility and authority for accepting or rejecting submitted manuscripts based on the recommendations of peer reviewers, the journal's editorial policies, and the scientific quality of the manuscript. All editorial decisions are made independently and without external interference.
